Growing a Mindful Economy

A week-long convening at the frontier of a new economic story.

11–18 December 2026Kingdom of Bhutan

This page is an early preview — details are still taking shape and will be confirmed over the coming months.

Why this gathering

In December 2026, a small group of systemic investors, philanthropic and catalytic capital stewards, ecosystem architects, Bhutanese government leaders, entrepreneurs, and institutional partners will gather in Bhutan at a remarkable moment: the birth of Gelephu Mindfulness City and a national commitment to an economy organised around wellbeing.

Growing a Mindful Economy is not a conference. It is a working week — part immersion, part laboratory, part celebration — where the people shaping capital, policy, and enterprise sit alongside the people shaping a country's future, and build something together that neither could build alone.

The shape of the week

Three movements, from arrival to celebration. Placeholder schedule — timings and locations to be confirmed.

Celebrate

Carry the week's ideas into Bhutan's 119th National Day celebrations — a shared national moment, and a fitting close to the gathering.

Who will be in the room

  • Systemic investors and capital stewards exploring what a mindful financial system looks like in practice.
  • Philanthropic and catalytic funders willing to take early, formative risks alongside a nation.
  • Bhutanese leaders and entrepreneurs building the institutions and enterprises of GMC.
  • Ecosystem architects — policy thinkers, regulators, and builders of new economic infrastructure.

Attendance is by invitation only, with a small number of places reserved for those who express strong alignment with the gathering's intent.
